Dr. Eme Owoaje – MBBS (1987), FMCPH (1998): Dr. Eme Owoaje having graduated from the University of Ibadan as a medical doctor in 1987 has over 24 years medical experience. She went on to train in the residency training programme of The Department of Preventive and Social Medicine in the University College Hospital, Ibadan and obtained the Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians in the faculty of community health in 1998. Subsequently, she was employed as a lecturer in the Department of Community Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She currently works as a consultant community physician in the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan and also holds a dual appointment as a senior lecturer in the department of Community Medicine, University of Ibadan. Dr Owoaje is actively involved in community health programmes and operations research; she has attended a number of trainings in Nigeria, South Africa and the United States of America to update her knowledge and skills in the field of public health. She has also worked as a consultant to The Federal Ministry of Health, Nigeria and international agencies such as UNICEF and USAID on national maternal and child health programmes on various occasions. Dr. Owoaje has over 30 scientific and professional publications in peer-reviewed journals, local and international. She has track record in grant management.
