MISSION AND VISION
Our mission statement
To initiate capacity building for surveillance of endemic, emerging and neglected zoonoses in West Africa through strengthened inter-University collaboration among faculties, the ministries of agriculture, environment and health; increased postgraduate enrolment for epizootiology-based programmes and provision of incentives for mentoring, research and service delivery in zoonoses control, prevention and eradication promotion in West Africa. The major goal of the centre is to actualize the training of career personnel in a milieu of active research activities and community connection that will enable hands-on learning of human-animal disease surveillance within the geographic context of West Africa.
Our vision statement
CCPZ is poised to be a centre of excellence in "one-health" education, research and services delivery, contributing to sustainable human resource development for healthy human and animal population and healthy ecological environment in West Africa.
